Drew Myers, MD
Reproductive Psychiatrist
Drew Myers, M.D. is a University of Maryland-trained psychiatrist with a specialization in women’s mental health. As a reproductive psychiatrist, she recognizes the subtleties that can arise across the reproductive life cycle, including during pregnancy, menses, and menopause. Dr. Myers is passionate about women’s mental health. Her approach to psychiatry is holistic, as she utilizes psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and medications. She works with patients in a thoughtful and empathetic manner to create a treatment plan that addresses their unique needs. Dr. Myers also works as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she supervises the clinical duties of residents. Dr. Myers serves as an exam developer for the perinatal mental health certification by Postpartum Support International.
She is an Honors College graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she received her BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in chemistry. She received her M.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Greenville. She completed her adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. During her residency training, Dr. Myers received specialized training and experience in reproductive psychiatry. She also underwent rigorous training by the National Curriculum of Reproductive Psychiatry. Dr. Myers has published multiple articles, including an encyclopedia article on women’s mental health. She has also presented on care models in women’s mental health at a national psychiatric conference.
